Rival Gaming Putting Out Some Suspicious Numbers

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Its no secret that affiliate sites make all their money off referrals to online casinos and now the affiliates of Rival Gaming online casinos are thinking that there is something a little funny going on with the way that they are being paid for the referrals that they provide. Players that are directed to the Rival sites that make large deposits in the sum of one thousand dollars or more seem to only pay once and make no showing of a repeat deposit.

While this doesn’t refer to all the online casinos that are part of the Rival Gaming network it is quite alarming to the affiliates and many are saying that this is true for larger deposit players. Those that are depositing smaller amounts are seen as players month after month but those making an initial deposit of a thousand dollars or more seem to fall completely off the radar!

It seems as a mixed bag of comments as some are saying that they are getting a great result from Rival casinos and others are getting no return at all. Some have even checked with the players and the players claim to continue depositing while no return is paid to the affiliate. It will be interesting to see how this players out but in the meantime the good news is that is does not affect the players in anyway just yet, its just something to keep in mind because if an online casino is not in good standings in one area it could also be in other areas as well and everyone just wants to get paid for what they put in.

Online Slot Machine Themes — Are They Worth the Hype?

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Slot machines are a unique online casino game. They have some of the worst odds, but they are more successful than high-paying games like Pai Gow and Sic Bo. So, why is that?

The simple answer is: entertainment value. Only people who truly enjoy gambling as a hobby are likely to spend hours rolling dice or turning over cards. Casual gamers tend to lose interest. It isn’t until you slap a themed-skin on a slot machine, that you’ve got entertainment for hours.

Creating a theme for a slot machine is quite simple. All you have to do is create interesting symbols, entertaining bonus rounds and eye-catching graphics. These three things alone will capture a player’s interest, and have them telling their friends about the great new Monopoly slot they just played. You wouldn’t get that same kind of word-of-mouth advertising with a traditional slot machines, featuring cherries, 7s and pots of gold as sybols.

Take, for example, Cryptologic’s Marvel Superheroes slots. The software provider made a series of slot games, featuring a well-known Marvel Superhero. Sounds a little out-there, doesn’t it? I mean, comic book fans don’t gamble, right? Well, Marvel’s slots are some of the most successful games to ever hit the web. These games even hold the same hype as video games, with fans posting on forums, asking “How excited are you for the new Iron Man slot?”

Themes certaintly do make the game. There are a sure-fire way to gain fans from all walks of life. Even if I didn’t like to gamble, I’d at least have to try a “Scooby Doo” or “Super Mario” slot machine, if one ever were released.

The Benefits of Playing Online Casino Games

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

Why do so many people prefer to stay at home and play casino games at home when they can go out into the world and play with tangible slot machines, cards and chips?  It really just comes down to personality.  Some people are introverts and feel more comfortable in sweat pants and a t-shirt while some love the thrill that casinos offer, from the sounds of ringing slot machines and excited chatter to the chance to meet and interact with a plethora of interesting people.

You can still meet interesting people online.  Remember that behind the computer is a person and that person could be from a different city, country or even continent.  There are no obstacles to playing online, so it comes down to whoever is online at the same time as you and wants to play the same game.

Another reason many people choose to gamble at online casinos are the bonuses that they offer.  Sometimes online casinos will waive the sign-up fee, or allow players to collect points that they can use towards another game or even prizes.  The bonuses that are available for players depend on the casino; they each have their own marketing plans and therefore offer different things.

Online Casino Chat Rooms

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

One of the best features about online casinos is their chat room feature, which gives players a chance to open up to each other and discuss strategies or simply get to know one another. Previously, it was not a popular option, but with the huge social media boom, many online casinos are pushing their chat rooms on their customers.

The most important function that online gambling chatrooms provide is that they give players the chance to discuss strategies. In land-based casinos, asking someone for tips can be a little bit awkward but online, there is less of a competitive environment; people are much more willing to share strategies and help out newer players.

It also gives you the chance to get to know new people. Walking into a land-based casino can be intimidating. Especially in casino capitals like Las Vegas, where everyone is dressed to the nines, you may not be very inclined to talk to the man at the poker table who’s wearing an Armani suit or the woman with the 200-carat diamond bracelet playing craps. Unless you go to a casino with a group of friends in tow, the guarantee of a socially-valuable experience seems unlikely.

Online, you can speak to everyone and anyone. You’re all in the same boat, and no one seems better than anybody else. This opens up a much bigger possibility for social interaction. Would you believe that people have found their soul mates at online gambling websites? Well, it’s true. In online casino chatrooms, you’re bound by a common interest, which makes things infinitely easier.

Online Casinos for Mac Users

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

It is true that until recently our world was overly saturated with PCs. In fact there were very few other options until the MAC and it was only in the last few years that MAC secured their position in the marketplace and made themselves come to the forefront. Online casinos are seeing this trend and are trying to make sure that the online casino players that use a MAC get just as much satisfaction as the PC users.

This is exactly why the online poker room called Ultimate Bet will be making special software that is for MACs only and will allow all MAC users to have a much more user friendly user interface. The online casino has been working on developing this software for a while now and has done quite a bit of research to make sure that there is an audience for the product.

There are many programs that are created with the PC in mind and most online casinos fall into that category. While many online casinos work just fine if they are downloaded onto a MAC there are also quite a few that will cause many problems and simply will not work at all.

There are other online casinos that are currently looking into solving this issue for their MAC using players. This will surely make MAC users very happy and perhaps even increase the online casino visibility in the future. Those online casinos that have large capital should strongly consider this option because it is clear that MAC has made a name for themselves and is here to stay making those users a bigger and bigger part of the online casino population.
